Attending the session on Classroom Management with Acahama Mathews Ma’am at school was an eye-opening and rewarding experience for me. It gave me valuable insights into how to build and maintain a classroom that is not only well-organized but also inclusive and engaging for all students. The session highlighted key aspects such as effective communication, setting clear expectations, and creating an atmosphere of mutual respect. These ideas strongly resonated with my teaching philosophy and inspired me to explore ways to further improve my approach.
As an Urdu teacher, I feel fortunate to have participated in various offline and online training programs offered by Foundation World School Budgam, center number IN094. These training opportunities have been instrumental in shaping my teaching practices and improving how my students perform in class. The classroom management session, along with other trannings, has equipped me with strategies to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds. Many of my students, who initially seemed disinterested in Urdu, have now developed a newfound enthusiasm for the subject. By incorporating methods like differentiated teaching and structured routines, I have been able to create an environment where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.
One of the most significant takeaways from the session was understanding that classroom management must adapt to the unique needs of students while staying aligned with Cambridge standards. This approach not only supports different learning styles but also encourages a student-centered atmosphere where each learner feels important and capable of success.
Since attending these training sessions, I have actively applied the techniques I learned. In my classroom, I have introduced structured routines, clear objectives, and positive reinforcement. These small but impactful changes have greatly improved my students’ focus and participation during lessons. Additionally, strategies like grouping students with mixed abilities, encouraging teamwork, and setting clear behavior guidelines have helped me manage the class more efficiently.
The impact of these trainings has been remarkable. My students, who come from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, are now more engaged and enthusiastic about learning Urdu. These positive changes reaffirm how valuable professional development is for teachers. Each session has provided me with fresh ideas and practical tools to improve my teaching, and it has strengthened my commitment to delivering the best education I can.
Reflecting on the progress in my classroom and the improved attitude of my students, I am even more convinced of the importance of effective classroom management. It is a key factor in creating a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
