Lessons in Life from Little Hearts

Children have an incredible ability to adapt to life’s challenges, a lesson we, as adults, often overlook. I learned this when my students joined school for the first time. Many cried endlessly on their first day, unsure of what to expect. But soon, they accepted their new routine, realizing, “I must come to school every day.” Gradually, they made friends, found joy in their surroundings, and began spending their days happily. Similarly, life presents us with situations we cannot change. The key lies in accepting them and learning from the experience, no matter how difficult.

Children also teach us to find happiness in the simplest things. A fight between classmates is forgotten in minutes, and they go back to playing as if nothing happened. Their big-heartedness and ability to forgive are humbling.

What amazes me most is their curiosity to learn which knows no bounds. The creative ways they figure out things leave me in awe. In a world that often feels unreal, children’s love remains pure and whole hearted. Spending time with them is a reminder of life’s simplest joys.

Sometimes, as a pre-school facilitator, I feel they are my educators, inspiring me to rise every time I fall, just as they do—with hope and courage.
