The forum, held in Pune on October 7, focused on the importance of social cognitive learning in schools by facilitating discussions with key stakeholders in the education space. Exciting dialogues took place on how the human mind learns and how cognitive skills can enable individuals’ ability to process and execute various learning activities.
Organized and moderated by members of Cambridge University Press, the event saw researchers, educators, learning scientists, practicing teachers and eLearning specialists voice their opinions.
Dr. Amit Mehendiratta, MBBS, MMST, D.Phil(OXON). Centre of Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi & AIMS Delhi spoke about cognitive skills and mapping the brain while Dr. Yogesh Velankar, Senior project Advisor, IIT Madras, Purdue University of Texas at El Paso, IIT Madras, spoke about the scientific understanding of learning and instructional methodology.
